Kenyans "We need to grow up"
When exactly are Kenyans going to grow up and start acting like adults? I mean, people who have a life, and plan for the future? When are we going to quit whining, and acting cheap like loonies, bargaining for everything? We are a bunch of cry babies over trivialities. If you want to see blood tears of a Kenyan, propose something that will make him/her to spend money. You will have pulled the trigger of all complains and whining. Oh! we are a poor people, we don't have that kind of money, where are we going to get it from, who is going to pay for it, we can't afford it, somebody help us !!! Even millionaire Kenyans act cheap like loonies. They bargain for everything. Somebody has a million dollars in the bank, yet you find him bargaining with a kiwete over the price of a mango in the streets. He wants to pay less for it. He can't just see the kiwete is trying to make a living by selling Mangos and old socks in the streets, he can't just pull out a kibunda of notes and pay the kiwete generously, it doesn't matter. Oh! not a Kenyan. That is not a Kenyan. Kenyans, we must stand there and reduce the price of a Mango from a kobole to 50 cts. We will twist theKiwete's both arms until he sells his mango for us at a throw away price. We want people to work for us, we love to see them working like donkeys, but we don't want to pay them. We are a bunch of mkono brikas or shall I say mkono gamu? Kenyan loves to work a person to death, but we don't want to pay that person as much as he put his time in it. Therfore, we only pay you by the day, not the hour. That will be too expensive, we can't afford. So a person who don't get paid by the hour goofs off to let the day pass. No work done by the end of the day. What's up with paying our MP's a hefty salary? Right now it is the cry of the town. They are greedy, they think only of themselves. Bla...bla... Yet on the other hand, we want them to work. We are the ones who act greedy. It is just 100,000 shillings ($1000 dollars) more. We can't realize acting cheap won't change our lives. Are we so blind to see the burden of being an MP? It is not fun at all. There is nothing in it, other than being famous, and working hard for people who don't appreciate. Kenyans are a bunch of none appreciative of what good work a person is doing. You can't please a Kenyan. There will be no time a Kenyan say thank you MP's you have changed our lives. These people are working for us, they are chasing the bad guys, they are trying to improve our lives, they are not enjoying life as such, they spend less time with their families, they have no privacy, they have no time to be just alone. Put yourself into their shoes and you are going crazy. They can't just go to a place and chill without a bunch of people waiting to ask them for something. The moment you announce your intentions to run for an office, the next day your compound is filled up with people who want to get something from you. The Kenyan raia needs to quit following MP's around for personal favors, and let these people do their work like any other person. All these deligations must end by the election date. Without them, we are stuck. If this is going to be the Kenyans attitude, then the MPs don't need to wake up so early and run around like crazy doing stuff for us. They can just sit back, have fun and steal from the public coffers like they used to do in KANU days. I guess this is what we want? Well, maybe that is what we want. How about not paying them, and let them steal millions from us? What they can steal will be more than what they are asking for to be paid. We need to be generous, not only with MP's but for a person to enjoy his work, he needs to be paid good. Everyone of us expects a better pay. We need to be a society that does not put money ahead of us to do everything. We can do little but very efficient. We can just have a few structures but very nicely put, than having a bunch of cheap structures which looks like a birds nest. We surely have no plans. We build stuff we can't finish. How many houses do you see by the roadside half finished? They have finally disappeared into the grass, you can't tell if it is a new building coming up, or it is a historical ruins? That is how planless we are. If you have good plans, money will always come. Lets not worry where it shall come from. Let's pay our MP's, Civil Servants, and take care of our poor people. By the way, Mps take most of their money back to their villages. Too many needs in the villages. Let us give MP's money instead of us asking them to give us money. Let us buy them lunches, dinners if we meet them in the restaurants, instead of us expecting them to pay for ours. This will make them move freely and interact with people. They won't be running away. People don't know why MP's run into their cars so fast and take off. Now you know. Otherwise, they will be hiding, and hard to catch up with because people always look for them to ask for money and personal favors. People who chase MP's needs to get a job and get busy. And so to prove to the MP's that we are good employers, we must pay them generously and then keep an eye on them from stealing? People ask MP's for everything. Some people are even asking their MP's for dowries to take to their wives relatives. What kind of a life is this? Wayoga Albany, GA. Ka in gi mari moro ma di wandik ka to orni
