My space, my tribe, and the new constitution!
I am modest man who does not expect too much from my fellow beings. But there
are a few things that are very important to me that would really please me
if my country would guarantee them to me:
1. Space. I need my space to enjoy myself.
2. Space. I need my space to enjoy with my family.
3. Space. I need space to enjoy with my tribe.
4. Space. I need space to enjoy with my friends.
5. Space. I need space from this government. At the
back of my mind I want to have the consolation that there is a government
that I can call on when I am in need, and it understands that it is in the
business of helping me when I am in need, but I should also not need them
for my long lifetime, so long as they are doing their jobs right.
To those who have chosen to govern me as their career, what new constitution
will you come up with that will give me my space?
Please, please, please, I do not want to end up with
a situation like Uganda, Rwanda, Congo, Somalia, Angola, Algeria, Nigeria,
Siera Leone, Ethiopia, Sudan, Liberia, and on and on, a few months or years
down the line, because you did not make a wise decision NOW!
