TO BE OR NOT TO BE, THAT IS THE VOTE
Jothurwa.
Awinjo dhowa to ndiko tama, koro weyna athum athuma.

I have mauled over what jaduong’ Odundo and Nyar Kager said for a few days now and I have to say, unless our community takes some VERY BOLD STEPS right now, the tribe itself may not be here 20 years from now. You only need to visit any village in Luo Nyanza any day to see for yourself how many people are being buried each day.
Those of us who the good Lord has blessed with good health, and a thinking mind, We owe it to ourselves and our ancestors to provide basic human needs like food, medicine, education, shelter, security and communications infrastructure for our community. We must therefore seriously look at this old age proven ancestral government model, where the community takes care of their own.
The current Kenya man eat man government model  does not work for our community. What it really does most of the time is take away from our community for nothing. Where is easy money to be made in the Luo community? Is it by using poison or explosives to kill their fish in lake Victoria? Is it by closing the sugar plants and selling the Luo imported sugar? Where is easy money in Luo Nyanza?
Man eat man government model does not tolerate thinking leaders in the community. Both Kenyatta government and Moi government have taken our strong leaders and assassinated them, or put them in detention. Their greedy minds and iron-handed administration frighten my people with words like “tribalist” as something that is supposedly ugly. I say no more. We are Luo and we have nothing to be ashamed of.
Kenya politicians do not know my pain. Kibaki, Ohuru, Kijana or Moi does not understand my pain, our pain as Luo. When have they ever ventured to understand me as a tribe, my culture, my heritage, my pain and suffering?
So what my tribe needs is a government that I can relate to, to help me to deal with my  problems with this HIV/AIDS scourge that is decimating my tribe, that appreciates and understands my culture, that provides education for all my children,  and jobs after they qualify from Institutions of higher learning, that takes care of all these orphans in my community, and RESPECTS ME, circumcised or not circumcised!  I think jok’Odundo have got it right. Only an independent community based Luo Nyanza government can do these things for me.
Raila, Kibaki, Ohuru, Ngilu, Wamalwa, Nyachae, Moi, the Luo have spoken. They want to divorce themselves from Kenya and have an independent Luo Nyanza nation. To avoid unnecessary bloodshed, we request you to put this to a vote in Nyanza at the same time you are doing the presidential elections. You will see for yourself that the majority of the Luo community want out of this crooked man eat man arrangement called Kenya.

To you Odundo and Nyar Kager, I thank you for the eye opener!
