Condolences on the Marsabit tragedy Issued: Monday, April 10, 2006 On behalf of all Kenyans abroad, the Kenyan Community Abroad (KCA) would like to extend our heart-felt sympathies to the families, friends and all Kenyan wananchi that are suffering the loss of such magnanimous leaders on Monday morning’s air crash in Marsabit. It is indeed a huge loss to our country and especially the regions our brethren represented, when we lose such young leaders who had committed themselves to finding ways through which conflicts can be resolved without loss of life in the horn of Africa. May the almighty tend to them as they transcend into the eternal life. We wish to also stress the importance of acquiring equipment that is capable of operating in our climatic environment. The Harbin Yunshuji Y-12 turbo-prop may be useful in fair skies but can be a death trap in inclement weather. We are not suggesting that this was the cause for the accident but the air-craft’s record, especially in Asia and Africa gives credence to the thought we might be better off paying more for a safer mode of transportation. We pray for the families of the deceased: maombolezi yetu sote. Mungu awabariki waliofirikiwa. The Kenyan Community Abroad (KCA), P.O.
