Miguna Miguna issue in the light of a Nyando Resident

I do not wish to be apart of the personal character assassination or de-assassination of Miguna Miguna or Arum Tidi in this forum or any other forum. But when Nyando is mentioned, I find myself thinking about the children with substandard education, the hard working men and women whose sugar cane rot in their farms, the women whose vegetables cultivated in difficulty fail to reach the market due to impassable roads, the fishermen whose fish is taken by Indians at throw away prices, and I think about school classes whose walls are falling apart.

The question is, where are these luminaries. Where is their impact on these matters?

I am probably younger than most of the people mentioned in this forum as far as Nyando is concerned. Although most of these people do not know me in person, I do know many of you in person. Actually very close.

With due respect, With all these degrees, accomplishments and sometimes mere rhetoric, where is the direction for the young people like me in terms of Nyando development? Where is anything like Nyando development fund by the Diaspora Nyando community? As they say charity begins at home. If we cannot come together to develop Nyando, we will never come together to develop luo land or kenya.

It therefore defeats me why people start of speaking of who and who has direct or indirect contact with who and who and who is from which and which clan. Here we go again! Miniature tribalism being displayed in the name of clanism.

Nyando people need something better than this. We do not need people who show up just for elections. We need leaders. We need organizers. We need development. I have not seen this in the current MP nor have I seen it in the current aspirants with a few exceptions.

We know politics is a dirty game but at least when you are cutting each other down, also show us why you are good for Nyando. At least give Nyando people some respect. Do not insult their intelligence.

By the way Miguna Miguna, is it official that you are going to contest?
