Kenya "In - dependence" & the Maumau / Lancaster factor

GRANTS ARCHIVES AGAJA KUYO BARUPE WECHE DONGRUOK MBAKA NONRO JEXJALUO NGECHE LUO GI GWENG' THUM TEDO LUO KITGI GI TIMBEGI SIGENDNI LUO THUOND WECHE ;	Kenya "In - dependence" & the Maumau / Lancaster factor In response to the interview on MC Kah a member of Ukoo Fulani Mau Mau.... i would like to share some insights and oversights that are usually stumbled upon in matters of Kenyan independece..............My personal take is ...i commend the 24 man crew -Ukoo Fulani Mau Mau for their ability to question authority...and to indulge in the other way of thinking....my suggestion to them would be to acknowledge that it is not only Mau Mau that fought for the "independence" of Kenya....according to me "Not yet Uhuru" still applies...the whiteman (Britons) handed over a deal in governance.... Those who actually fought for "in-dependence" sat down at Lancaster Conference in 1963.... The whiteman came in..was welcomed...gradually he introduced doctrines and medicine...and the black man was swallowed by the guise and decided to change his ways... Those who decided to learn from the white man were the ones who shared in the deal of "Independence".... So in essence the MAU MAU played a role in defying external rule ...and expressed dissent by guerilla warfare but if the government of her Majesty decided to squash the insurgence they would have...they up unitl now have the resources...maybe it would have turned into another South African apertheid regime...and dragged on and on....which would have led to further blood shed and loss of lives.....In this case agravated by the rebellion. Final thought of the day ...power brockerage led to adaptation of self governance in Kenya...So Ukoo Fulani MAU MAU should be able to fuse in these two elements of "Freedom" alongside other uprisings within various parts of the country... The Mau Mau Rebellion & Lancaster Conference played a key role in brockering for "Freedom".....FACT is...they both played a role in obtaining SELF-GOVERNANCE.....but the latter excelled to prove,diplomacy thrived. Currently we are heavily dependant on our colonial overseers-(Big brother sickness)....So should we go back to the bush to fight or should we get knowledge in schools they brought forth and FIGHT THE POWER- Public Enemy style with our intellect ???????????
