My response on FEDERALISM stand !

Hi Barack,

Kindly accept my apology for having not responded to your email in time. I had such major traffic jam of overflowing emails since then. Hopefully my response may still find room in your thought.

In brief, the Federalism agenda among the Luos is so popular and therefore, I personally will not force Raila to honour my opinion, but the mass will. Kindly note that, in the last breath of Jaramogi and Adala Otuko, they told me way forward for the Luo's developement is Winam or Nam Lolwe State, a nation within Kenya.

In 1993, a few months after Jaramogi was robbed of leadership by the Kikuyus, he was so bitter, that we were so concerned. These are some of the words he said " Ong'eche (KIKUYUS) ma an ema ne agolo e bungu, koro otama kata mondo atel ne Kenya kuom term a chiel kende. Ooyo wuon Otuko Ruodh koro wakaw Luo wakel MAJIMBO e Kenya mondo waneye kaka jokuoye gi dhi timo. To sani waduok luo e sirkal to kik ng'ato chak golgi oko kendo. Nimar en gima rach, ka oganda maratipo machalo Jokanyam ne wagolo oko mar sirkal kuom hingni 30, to gin bende gi golo kodi (Taxes)".

After this, the blue print of cooperation with Moi was drafted to leave ong'eche out of the system as we set a pace of reintroducing MAJIMBO. Moi was fully for it. "Jokanyanam, nyaka koro wati kod Jachak kapod warito yiero bang' hingni abich, omiyo ose kwalo ombulo, to kata odonjo kod yianda mbewa to en ema en e telo" Jaramogi's words !

After a short time, Luos were back in Government and things started moving towards Luos future in a new Kenya of Majimboism. The plan we had was to isolate the nyanga'u's and make Luos and rest of Kenyans enjoy their taxes.

In this duration Raila, Orengo, Wamalwa, Kituyi, etc were opposed to this move. These YOUNG TURKS as they were then called, made sure that the cooperation was dismantled immediately after the death of Jaramogi. The YOUNG TURKS, had their spokesman Orengo Jim at Jaramogi's funeral, attacking Moi. By that evening after the burial, the cooperation was dead.

In 1998, Mzee Adala at his deathbed told me, "En mana yo(Majimboism) cha ema biro konyo Luo, ( Jadolo)wuod go Okuto Bala nyathi punda ki dong' chien ! In ema inyalo ng'iso wuod osiepna. Jowa oluoro wang' Raila". Ker died wishing the same. The same was the wishes of Mzee Ombok Thim wuod Kawuor Kabar Kano. The same was Mzee Koyo Opien, rayier wuod Auma, Karachuonyo. The same was Mzee Mbaka, Kabondo. These wazee died desperately calling for Majimbo.

Mr Bonyo what would you do if they were your comrades at arms? You would fight for the same cause which they died for in principle.

I have so much faith in my conviction on Federalism. My tribe is strong. I admit, I am tribalist. All my prayers go for Luos first, then, if I have any left, I can give to other tribes. Even the Bible stated, "He who has 2 coats, let him give to him who has none, and he who has food, let him do likewise" (Luke 3: 11). A Luo ha no spare coat to give anymore.

Jaramogi made a mistake to have given Kenyatta the leadership. He should have allowed TJ Mboya, to take power as it was suggested by the British. He came out clear that Communist was is food, and Kenyatta was second God and without him(Kenyatta) there is no Uhuru. So he gave the only one COAT Luos had away. He died regretting it.

The success of Luoland as a Federal State within Kenya, is actually 100% possible. We done enough homework across the world. Direct investment policy for each State will favour us. With 5 major rivers, lake resources and manpower, Kisumu will be a major city in the world.

Luos in the same School of thought like, Joseph Okumu in Britain, Alfred Modi in Switzerland, Meshack Owino and Odundo Jakarateng' in USA, and so many who have tirelessly expanded on this debate, can make many understand.

Kindly note that my response to you is a general one for the benefit of others too and in whatever way someone may look at it, they have the right to democratically oppose or support this movement. But this is my stand Sir.
