RESIDENTS CRY OUT OVER BY-ROAD GRADING PROCESS.

Karateng' residents are agitated by the ongoing Nyawita-Chulaimbo By-road grading that is creating havoc to their farms.

However, North west Kisumu ward councilor, Mr. Nicholas Atieno has appealed to Karateng' residents affected negatively by this exercise to report their grievances to the relevant authority for appropriate action instead of rumor mongering in the village.

He was referring to current complaints from various residents that the tractor used in the process allegedly diverted water drainage systems into people's farms and homes.

The councilor urged the residents to report to either the area chief or to him personally for appropriate action. He also advised those whose farms are affected to try if possible to make use of the water drained into their farms for planting crops such as banana and yams.

The councilor spoke to this journalist at his rural home in Baranding'o village. The Nyawita -Chulaimbo By-road grading process was sponsored by the central government through the Ministry of Roads at a cost of 187,000Ksh.
