Village Road Committee resumes duty.

An association charged with the rensponsibility of road and bridge maintainance within Nyabera and Mbakaoromo villages on wednesday the 29th May 2007 held a committee meeting to discuss the recent dilapilated road condition in this region.

The association committee headed by the chairman mr.Lawi Raburu, secretary mr. John Angugo and treasurer Mr.Charles Otieno hosted the meeting held next to aora Kobaso between Nyabera and Mbakaoromo villages.

Among major issues addressed in the meeting were possible solutions to update the road condition within the region, currently dilapilated due to heavy rains and also irresponsible track drivers savoring the region to purchase sand from the local youths who are mining sand from the local rivers.

Also addressed in the meeting was the construction of aora Kobaso bridge, linking Mbakaoromo Primary School and the surrounding community. The bridge also serves as a link between Mbakaoromo village and Nyabera village.

According to reports issued by the association's chairman Mr.Raburu, the committee ressolved to call a public meeting slated for 6th June 2007 at St.phillips ACK Church grounds to allow for public opinion concerning the two major issues.

The association named Nyabera and Mbakaoromo development project was registered in 2005 and as a committee comprising of Mr.Albert Omino, Gilbert Omollo, John otieno and Mr.Dan Oguso.
