Kibaki’s Tribal Government
unrightfully attack is despicable. By Geoffrey Okelo, Raleigh NC. USA The Government has lost the war against corruption, failed to prosecute its leading lights who have ravaged and looted our economy with dubious tenders and procurements and thus resorted back to the bad old days of autocratic and authoritarian principles. This has been the beckon of bad governance in Kenya’s political history and history repeats itself. Kenya’s government in my own words is build up of thugs; those would rather operate and vandalize private properties at night and cast confusing aspersions at day time that negate how lack of in touch the government is with wananchi. Like security chief Michuki puts it, “When you rattle a snake you must be ready to be
bitten”.
Who is the snake? And who is the bitten one? In my own words, I would
rather
analogize the bitten one with the Government since its facing major
breakdown
day in day out in its institutions, to start with Anglo leasing which
has led
to resignation of high profile chief ministers, corruption embedded all
the way
to the statehouse which has lost its presidential advisor / assistant
of late, there
is lack of favorable government policies that can improve the life
standard of
ordinary citizens, and thus poaching opposition MP’s to lucrative
positions is
a measure to kill multiparty democracy. Therefore a fight against a
media house
is perceived by government architects as an act to depopulate rightful
knowledge to its citizens. They forget who gave them the power to
misrule!
A storm of the
standard media
house is a show of high altitude of arrogance this government operates.
It
illustrate high multitude of ignorance used to rule the citizens in a
backward
society. Every democratic and civilized society has protocols of how
state
mercenaries are run. Not by thuggery witnessed by masquerades as thugs
by state
owned police force at night on its citizens properties but by organized
structures such a respect of the rule of Law and that is why courts
exist in
the country. This is an act of vengeance from the so called 2nd
liberators of our country who have diverted their attention to
primitive
misrule. Since their efforts failed they want to embark on the
mainstream media
and kill the freedom of information that we and our forefathers fought
for.
This time around they miscalculated. As a Kenyan in
the Diaspora I
depend on a newspaper such as Standard for rightful knowledge. This is
what I
can afford after the telephone satellites and airspace owned by the
same
Government fails to work or rather lack of proper Information
technology
advancement of internet in Kenya lacks. My advice to standard
fraternity is
that keep up the good work under your management. The Government is mudslinging Kenyans into an act of civil disobedience since wananchi has always used diplomacy and failed, and everyone knows the end result when diplomacy fails. We will not let the president and his Government misuses our resources and leaves us in shackles and broken down just for them to retire with huge chunk of benefits and their families. I support the demonstration earmarked for Tuesday as a national press day. Joluo.com Ka in gi mari moro ma di wandik ka to orni
