Singapore Government
Education Grants The government of Singapore does give through its Ministry of Education grants covering upto 80% of tuition cost at Singaporean polytechniques and universities. Under the scheme students sign an agreement committing themselves to work in Singapore for three years after graduation. With the grants students only have to pay tuition fee ammounting to about Ksh. 100,000. Certainly a better option than studying in India or America. Students with KCSE can gain direct entry into a three year Diploma course at Singaporean Polytechnique. They can then proceed for a further two years at University to obtain a degree. Those already having first university degree can apply for Masters degree which usually takes one year to complete. More information is available in the links below http://www.np.edu.sg/~dept-isc/tuitiongrant.html http://www.nus.edu.sg/ http://www.nyp.edu.sg/studentApplicants/internationalstudents_sub_page.html http://www.ntu.edu.sg/publicportal/prospective+students/international/default.htm My urge to all Nyikwa Ramogi to take such information and opportunities seriously.
