RACHUONYO YOUTHS CRY FOUL OF THE SUMMIT

YOUTHS from Rachuonyo district today have expressed their disappointment over representations in the International Youth Employment Summit at KICC Nairobi.

Led by their officials Jamumbo Maurice Aguko Mayora (co-ordinator), Rogers Otieno Owida (secretary),and Douglas Otieno Onoka(chairman), the trio registered their lamentations to the leaders from the district for being insensitive and selfishly ignored such an important international event that is information-led for the welfare of the youth.  They decried abject poverty ravaging the district and the entire Nyanza province and said that Nyanza leaders and professionals have contributed immensely to the problems affecting the region."Our leaders are unconcerned with the plight of the youth against the backdrop of unemployment,dropout in schools et c" said Mr. Owida.

They further castigated the national co-ordinating committee for its failure to be inclusive and instead thrived on sectionalism and tribalism in handling the summit matters."Seme Lang'o is known for being partisan....National youth function can't be inclined to Narc-K sympathisers", said Aguko.They again reiterated their uncertainty on structure and modalities of the would be Kshs.1bn youth funds.

The chaiman Mr.Otieno Onoka threatened to mobilise the youths in the district to rebel against the leaders if they continue to uphold 'I don't care attitude'.
