Ruto who is the first secretary general of KANU to visit Tom Mboya's Mauselium in 37 years at Rusinga said that some of the politician's goals have been achieved. He however, noted that his mission is to help fulfill the remaining goals which could only be realisable in ODM. Honorable Ruto was accompanied by Mbita MP Otieno Kajwang', Sam Wakiaga,Kisumu Kanu official Onyango Kwega former South Nyanza County Council Chairman Akech Chieng and Mbita Kanu chairman Okuku Miregi among others. In Rusinga Island at Rusinga West location Kamasengre village, the Eldoret North MP eulogised the late Mboya as a great Kenyan whose vision was; equal opportunity for all,equitable distribution of resources and application of rule of law without discrimination. The MP said that the unity that Mboya stood for saw Kadu merged with Kanu to form a formidable force that gave Kenyans independence. "Those who killed Mboya are tribalist,they are beneficiaries of divide and rule tactics", he asserted. He described ODM as a God given party that is going to provide the country with a better leadership against the ills affecting wananchi.He added that the very forces were the ones who were behind the fracas at Kamkunji prayer rally last Sunday. ......I'm following the footsteps of Mboya that is why I'm leading Kanu fold to ODM", he stressed."
