  Where are the Luos with their development projects? If iam not wrong many are busy putting all their eggs in Nairobi with the mind that Kisumu will never come up.despite being nominated millenium town by UN, Kisumu still contunues to lag behind not to mention small town like Homabay that last saw improvement during the Late Luo hero Tom Mboya.
 
  Let us open our eyes and see what is going on.Nairobi was built during
Kenyatta and it still continues to attract people from all over the world.Many
are boasting of having properties in Nairobi while back at home to kata simba to onge.Is this development if you continue giving your money to gilani when you visit home and you call yourself a hero.Let us try and built our own model town just as the Onjelos have done it in Eldoret (See the attachment).No luo has come up with a beatiful Hotel like the Asians are doing it in Kisumu infact we have left Kisumu in the hands of Asians who continue exploiting our people, I hope you read about the Lem Lem story posted recently by one of us.Kisumu airport is just like "Pap ma nyithindo goye ajwala" it is shmeful even to land there while we do boast around of having an airport of our own.
 
  Fish bussiness continues to be in the hands of foreigners who continue
oppressing our people and killing the industry.If one can remember a Mr. Nderu who made money from Hide and skin in Kisumu while he continued oppressing our people,this guy was a real atwara and he made sure that back in Nairobi he had more investment than Kisumu.
 
  If you can trace the roots of Somaia and Pattni, they will take you back to
Kisumu.They made money in Kisumu and continued to loot and invest in other parts of Kenya,this is very bad.
 
  Are we going to continue supporting our poor people in the border border
bussiness which only makes them earn peanuts while dying slowly or are we ready to bring a change just as the likes of Kipchoge Keino,Tergat and the rest.Who is our role model in Luo? If any is existing then it may be only in other ways that is secluded for the few.Kalenjins only need to register for a competition to resemble his/her role model while for our people it might be a dream not to become true.Let us think twice before our youths are finished by the deadly HIV/AIDS virus which is now attacking us from all corners.
