Speeches by Ngugi Wa Thiong'o and Caroline Elkins on their books

As part of the Year of Kenya at Kennesaw State University, we had Ngugi Wa Thiong'o talk about two of his books, "Weep Not Child" and his new book "Wizard of the Crow". Below is the link. If you don't have time, coz the whole talk takes about an hour, forward to where he reads paragraphs from his books towards the end of the speech. Especially "Wizard of the Crow". It's hilarious.

Also below is a talk by Caroline Elkins, author of "Imperial Reckoning - The Untold Story of British Gulags in Kenya" launched in kenya in 2005. Recommend you read the book - gives you a never heard before narration from the Mau Mau members' points of view.
