Re: Luo Community Everywhere (Map) Jadolo, As I told you, I was in the gweng' until yesterday. I really welcome Luocome, and it is upon all of us Luos, to set our sights firmly on political power. Others have that power now and are busy mobilizing resources to buy shares in the majority in all state corporations. This attitude by The Trans Century group must be stopped. Because, when they will loose control of the political reigns, they will still determine our economic destiny. I would hence encourage all our brothers and sisters every where, that as we set sights on political power, let us also think of our economic well being. Lets not be anybodys' slave thereafter. Efforts like the revival of the Mollasses plant are efforts in the right direction. Let someone come up and revive KICOMI, that brewing plant in Kisumu. Let someone put up a fish processing plant in Nyanza etc. Luocome can take that bold and agressive stance in spearheading such efforts. Lastly, politics in Kenya is an expensive exercise. How do we support our own to fight political wars out of Luo Nyanza? We must not leave Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru etc to others. We must have our people in political leadership in all these places. Now lastly, we must encourage Luos in position of authority to also employ Luos. People who get absorbed in positions at juniour levels, are the people who grow with the system to later become Managing Directors. How do we ensure that Luos are greatly absorbed within the work force in all industries? Food for thought. Odhiambo Tobias Oketch Komarock, Nairobi --- ndebele okoth wrote:
