By Bob Ndira-Uradi It is an open secret all over the world that fierce police brutes who torture their victims are usually the most Biblically meak to their family members. The same applies to the embattled MP for Muhoroni Professor Patrick Ayiecho Olweny who has now abandoned his electorates in toto, due to poor performance and endless abuse of CDF kitty. The MP who behaves in Muhoroni Constituency like the Uganda rebel leader Joseph Kony who slashes the limbs of perceived enemies at will, is a complete coward (MP kigoi goi of Muhoroni), when it comes to confrontational politics outside his own home turf. Professor Ayiecho is such a political coward that he would rather bribe and or contribute money than risk his skin in attending charged LDP/ODM (K) rallies outside Luo Nyanza. When the LDP/ODM (K) top political machinery was headed for Mombasa and Malindi over a week ago, Onyango Koyoo's uncle (Ayiecho) but sworn political nemesis decided to contribute good money than attend to those rallies. He was heard saying he fears for his life in those rallies and is always ready to sacrifice his money than expose his skin to those dangers synonymous with Raila omni present rallies. He was therefore conspicuously absent in those highly charged rallies. And when the son of Jomo Kenyatta and some LDP/KANU MPs were made to taste the smell and effect of police teargas for the first time on 4^th December 2006, the son of Olweny was spotted hiding at this continental office not far from the battle front. It is this government brutality metted on ODM (K) luminaries that made Raila Odinga abandon his trip to the UK to come and join his comrades at arms Professor Ayiecho's cowardly act can be interpreted to mean he is now NARK (K) at heart and by action. As usual and as expected of him, Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga cut short his London trip and like a lion, joined other ODM (K) luminaries to battle on 9^th December 2006. Other than bear his chest to the government brutality, Professor Ayiecho took financial "permission" to attend a none existent funeral in his Muhoroni constituency. As was expected of the embattled MP, he promptly paid his ransom and left for Muhoroni. But our pararazzi made several attempts to trail Prof. Ayiecho in any of the funerals in Muhoroni without success. He did not attend any funeral on 09-12-2006. We challenge him to prove us wrong failure to which he should be taken to task by the ODM (K) top brigade. Prof. Ayiecho's dodging of ODM (K) rallies outside Luo Nyanza is beyond mere political cowardice and bigotry. I am rightly informed by his former teachers that the MP suffers from poor English and Kiswahili language diarrhea. The MP cannot express himself in Kiswahili and will also not deliver a speech in fluent English. No wonder he only talks in the vernacular radio stations and has never addressed a press conference since entering parliament in 2003. In September 2006, some devil windstorm destroyed the roof of Rang'ombe Primary school in Kabar West sub-location. The community immediately called a fundi who assessed the damage at 50,000/- and promptly informed their MP, Prof. Ayiecho. The Kabar West sub-location residents who own the school breathed a sigh of relief knowing the MP controls millions of CDF shillings that could be used to re-roof the school. The MP did good and visited the school in late September 2006 and promised immediate action. Three (3) months later, that "immediate" action is yet to come-by. Rang'ombe Primary School pupils therefore closed the school learning under a tree and may start the same come January 2007. God forbid, but this exactly is what is likely to happen if a higher authority than the MP does not intervene. It is likely to happen so because the embattled and fearful MP for Muhoroni will not release C.D.F. funds to Rang'ombe Primary School in Kabar West sub-location because according to him, this is a sealed Onyango Koyoo political zone. What annoyed the MP most is that the flamboyant James Onyango Koyoo donated a cool Kshs. 50,000/- to the school immediately the devil wind hit the school. It is therefore not surprising that the MP has introduced sibling rivalry in disbursement of CDF funds to this school. That is also why the community of Kabar West sub-location in Muhoroni constituency have petitioned honourable Raila Amolo Odinga to reprimand the local MP to re-roof Rang'ombe Primary school. They are also petitioning the defacto LDP/ODM leader to advice the MP to be mature enough to work without fear, favour, clanism and bigotry. Only then will he retain his seat which already looks impossible, the MPs deeds and misdeeds taken into amount since 2003. You will recall that the week the Muhoroni MP was abandoning his ODM (K) colleagues is the week Kenya was facing flood disasters in many parts of the country. Parts of Muhoroni were badly affected and the victims needed urgent aid. The Muhoroni MP never visited the flood ravaged parts of his constituency up to and including today. He never appealed for any humanitarian assistance for his constituents because he did not know what to ask for. He did not visit to mourn with and condole his constituents.
