After the back room selections are done then it is brought before "raia" for a rubber stamp election. This particular one seems to have been leaked out before the "elections". I may be wrong but it seems that the young turks in t RAILA2007 are very powerfull over there after they ousted the old people who used to hang around raila for years but did absolutely nothing. The way these new group came in and took over Raila2007 from the old deadwoods is probably a sign that they are both, politically savy and competent. This person George Omburo, in particular seems to be a man of the people bridging both the Kisii community and the Luo community in the North East. One day he is hosting Raila2007, the next day he is engaged in Harambee for a Kenyan who passed away under very sad circumstances. He seems to be very learned, compassionate, hard working person and has gained considerable influence since he became chair of Raila2007. Maybe this is why he should take over Akia. Akia is a very good thing from the little I have heard, and if this person Omburo and his new group of doers can came in and do what they supposedly did for Raila2007, then give them a chance. Folks we really need to be civil with each other, politics comes and goes, so does AKIA elections. This modi operand that is so common now a days is not helpful. We have lived together through happy times, tragedies etc without this stinging Scorpio tongue. And to some of us, it will be the case for a long long time. We are unnecessarily poisoning the atmosphere. Do we have to do this any time we have a difference, without just focusing on the issue on the table without delving in personal life or attributes?
