Ambrose Otieno a Professional who grew up in ranks at SONY was kicked out the other day after he made the Corp a money minting enterprise, he was replaced with Bernard Otieno yet another professional whom they've used excuses to kick out. As far as I am concerned the Chairman has been Otondo a retired Central Bank man. Mr Bernard Otieno was sent packing as Agriculture minister, Mr Kipruto arap Kirwa, appointed a former personal assistant to Mr Raila Odinga, Mr Herbert Ojwang', the chairman of Sony Agriculture Permanent Secretary Dr Romano Kiome suspended Otieno and appointed a director in the ministry, Mr Kenneth Ayuku, to act as the company boss.Otieno was thrown out of office a day after Raila spent a night at the company's guesthouse. But speaking to The Standard on phone from Mombasa at the weekend, Kirwa denied the suspension was related to that issue. "I am not aware of Raila having slept at the guesthouse," he said. Kirwa said the sugar firm's board would advertise the position. "Otieno has been acting. We only want to oversee a smooth transition and allow the board to pick the best. Otieno is free to apply," he added. Kiome, however, said Otieno's suspension was related to sales during the recent sugar crisis.
