We must come down to the basics

I have observed for some time how we look at issues, more so, wan Joluo. And it baffles me.

We are well learned, and very knowledgeable in most things, even areas we do not have any expertise. If you walk in down town Nairobi, it is mostly the Luo who discuss politics on the streets. We bare it all in those meetings. We talk about our plans, our strategies, our visions, our policies, and we fail to see that we are on a mission of not how to do it.

We go really technical, while the basics would have been sufficient.

What makes us talk about all these issues while what we need is an ID, a voters card, and then going in to nominate our candidates, and eventually going out to vote. That is what we need. That should be our plan, our strategy, our vision, our policy, our everything. The rest is just vanity.

But tell that to our people, gibo kelo argue manyaka kiny. You will be like playing a guiter to some goat. The goat does not know the value.

I want to appeal to our people, lets stop these street, bar politics, and come back to reality. There is no way we will make it to the presidency if we are still getting the basics wrong. We must shed these utopian attitudes and learn what game politics is all about.

We must learn the art of wooing other people to be on our side. We must learn to be less voluminous in our attitude, and we must learn to lie on our back, so that we can get the maximum.

I am told that people who lie on their backs normally feel better than those on the top. Can we do that, so that we also feel the maximum?

Lastly, we are team building now, my appeal to jowa, if you do not know, keep quiet, and let those who know negotiate. Because, some of our people, with that know it all attitude, are actually running off the pitch. And while there, they do not let go. They end up messing the broth.
