Kenya Times Wednesday 14th March 07 GOVT SHOULD PROBE BRITISH NGO'S DEALINGS THIS is a response to a letter by Simon Bland, the head of DFLD in Kenya, which was a rejoinder to my piece published in your edition of March 1, 2007. Curiously on the same day Bland's response appeared in the Kenya Times, the British High Commissioner, Adam Wood, published yet another response abit indirectly in a separate local publication known to enjoy very cosy relations with Action Aid The High Commissioner's Public Relations piece in a publication known for running Action Aid's errands in Kenya effectively cancelled Bland's denials and instead reinforced Her Majesty's Government's complicity in the anti Kibaki proxy war. I had cited DFID's pleadings notwithstanding If Simon Bland agrees entirely as he claims - - that economic growth, job creation and private sector development are essential to tackling povert - - then he should explain why DFID extend financial assistance to Action Aid which opposes economic growth, job creation, and private sector development undertaken by Kenyans in collaboration with non British Partners By subsidizing Action Aid's activities DFID has advertently made itself a covert accomplice in the British NGO's deliberate and malicious crusade to keep Kenyans perpetually chained the yoke of poverty. Action Aid may be international but it is for all intents and purposes British and certainly not independent in its dealings in Kenya. While standing by the contents of my first letter, I wish to plead once again with the powers that be to set up a commission of inquiry to probe Action Aid's multi million covert and over subversive mission against non British investors in Kenya. Until Simion Bland and Adam Wood openly denounce the cowardly and treacherous activities of Action Aid in Kenya and until DFID ceases to extend monetary assistance to the British NGO, her Majesty's Government will remain an accomplice in Action Aid's anti Kibaki proxy war in Kenya, wars which are hurting ordinary and poor Kenyan's caught in the crossfire and wars, which the country can do better without.
