AGWAMBO'S MINNESOTA TOUR I want to thank Miguna Miguna for the wonderful and articulate article he wrote on the tour of the Grand man of politics in Kenya. The article was very informative and reminds me of how eloquent Miguna used to address us in school. I am glad the brothers and sisters in the diaspora received and interacted with Agwambo and I am sure that even the doubting Thomases in the States were convinced. People say that Agwambo is good but too strict and serious for their liking. That is what they say. I contend that we need such a man in Kenya now so that the political environment and landscape can be steered back to that of serious development and an agenda for progress. Some even say that Agwambo keeps on jumping ship. I say, why not? If the policies are changing from what had been unanimously agreed upon then why remain in the same bandwagon? Lets look at issues and not shadow box. The fact that he changed ship mid-stream was not one of being a traitor. How would you feel if you board a ship with fellow sheep and then days later you find that they have changed into goats or wolves, if not hyenas! Do you still remain there, smiling and hoping that they will reconvert to sheep. I salute him. Tribalists and chauvinists have made the government of the day a big ridicule and the recent reappointment of characters who have had their names tainted or mentioned in scandals really begs for questions. Does it meant that the current parliament is bereft of people of integrity and who are able to deliver in various cabinet positions? Do they have to recycle and even borrow from outside the arena in order to have a houseful of cabinet appointees? Lets give him a chance and see what fears people have. After all the others have shown us their true colours. Thanks Miguna for the good excerpt, continue keeping us abreast. By the way your former school has continued to ride waves in the KCSE.
