Re: Yala Swamp aka Dominion Group Issue: Fail to Plan, Plan to fail Well Joseph, London that you're talking about is fairly well managed. The economy of London alone is equivalent to some 10 African nations put together. This is not my point of argument but a remark. I am not part of this debate because of my luck of knowledge on the subject although I have only one thing to say. Last year I went to Kadenge, Ratuoro, Kanyaboli, Usenge and I noticed a lot of activity around Ratuoro by the Dominion Group. Peculiar was that they put a watchman to guard the public passage between Kadenge and Yimbo area. I asked myself for a while why and how a private company would be guarding and actually managing a public road. This dyke like passage is about 6m land and about 1 km in length hand Dominion farm is on both sides which is lower than the road level. On both sides there is a gate level which the watchman raises when a car is coming. This is strange, isn't it? But again, we're talking about Kenya, a country of strange contrasts. -James Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
