A New Generation of Leadership

The 2007 General Elections in Kenya may very well be the most important elections of our lifetime.

The stakes are exceedingly high and the country is at an all important cross- roads. The decisions made in this election will determine the course the country takes, and will impact the lives of Kenyans, their children, and future generations for decades to come.

That is why we must infuse fresh blood and bold new ideas into our country’s leadership ranks, especially in parliament, if we are to chart a new direction of hope and policy-driven initiatives that will create lasting solutions to the serious social, political and economic problems facing Kenyans today.

The era of gross incompetence and unbridled greed in Parliament must now end.

As such, the new MPs who will be sworn into the 10th Parliament in 2008 must be of exceptional leadership abilities, impeccable work ethic, and must be driven by a strong desire to solve problems and improve the lives of all Kenyans.

You and I must, therefore, present the Kenyan voters with viable, competent, progressive-minded, and accountable leaders from which to choose their next crop of parliamentarians.

And that is why I am writing to you today.

My name is John Njoroge, a candidate for Parliament running in Naivasha Constituency. I believe that my thorough understanding of the problems facing Kenyans and the people of Naivasha, and my ability to seek lasting policy-based solutions to those problems, make me the ideal person to take over the mantle of leadership in Naivasha and represent it’s constituents in the next Parliament.
