re: Yala Swamp aka Dominion Group Issue: Fail to Plan, Plan to fail Orina, With all due respect, Mr. Orina, saying that the people around Yala Swamp will be left with nothing is a little too extreme for me. Are you saying that with all the economic activities going on around Yala Swamp, the people in that region are not benefiting at all. The Dominion Group must be hiring people to work for them. All the roads they are building must be causing some economic activities in the region which were not there before. Are you seriously arguing that the people are worse of now with Dominion than they were before Dominion came? This is the kind of arguments that defies logic. Some of you people could careless about people living around Yala Swamp if Dominion group did not decide to come here. Dominion Group is investing monies in building things which the government of Kenya has refused to do or and which the NGO's cannot afford. Whatever the Dominion Group builds and the skills they bring will not leave the region even if the project fails. Our people need people who have the resources to spend in our region and not activists who have nothing but lip services to offer. Obungu Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
