Re: [youthagendayln] Fwd: Re: [ccr-kenya] Mining in Kenya Tegi, It seems you have stayed for too long in Canada, to an extent that recent happenings in Kenya escapes your mind. To remain relevant, you hang on any straws you can lay your hands on however irrelevant they might be. I will take you very quickly through what has been happening in Kenya with Kenyans at the helm. It seems that apt analysis by Peter Okoth meant nothing to you. Updates by Joseph Okumu are slightly above your comprehension. Kenya Commercial Bank, in the hands of Kenyans, was looted dry, and was facing imminent collapse until another 'Kenyan' Terry Davidson happened on the scene. The results, growth. Kenya Airways was on the down ward trend until Brian Davies happened on the scene. The result, growth. Mumias Sugar was facing imminent collapse until that Mbeberu consortium happened on the scene. The result, growth. I must not take you through all these enterprises and state corporations that our own people ran down. The only single determining factor here is that most of these ran down firms, have been brought back to life by Wazungu, the people who have hosted you in Canada for that long. What does this tell you about your anti-imperialist wave that you are craving? What we must do, like in all these resurrected firms, is to learn the ropes from those who know, before we can take over. What did an African know about planes, about modern farming, about modern fishing, about modern business? We must sit with people who know, work with them and under them, then take over the reigns of leadership from them at the right time, in a friendly manner, so that when we fail again, we can go back to them for more advice. Even look at how we manage the resources of our country. It might take a White man to come back and teach us all what good governance is all about. We might need to be recolonized, led through the leadership ropes, taught how a government is ran, then political leadership handed over back to us. Have you ever heard of nepotism, tribalism and all these Kibaki nonsense from the white men? You are staying in their country, and benefiting from their leadership styles. What have you learnt that you can replicate in your motherland? And this is why we basically go to school. So that we can be taught things we did not know before. But if we pretend that we know, that a new wave, what did you call it, 'A new anti-imperialist movement is emerging in Kenya', then you are lost, and you deserve to make as much noise from Canada forever. And this is why I keep telling you Tegi, that you are a very fast runner, but you are running off the pitch. You are like that legendary footballer who dribbles off the pitch, he can never score. You cannot pretend that you are fighting what you do not know. What have you been doing with your titanium in Kwale since Independence. Reality man, NOTHING. Do you even know how to extract that titanium? You only know how to make noise about our resources, our Tea, our Pyrethrum, our Fish, our everything good for nothing, Time for making unnecessary noise is over. We must develop our land, and enjoy all our resources. We must benefit from those who know what is to be done. Not those whose only preoccupation is noise making, and nothing doing. We cannot benefit from our God given resources, if we do not work closely with people who have the technical capability to make economic sense out of them. We must work with these wazungu, to develop our land. And working with a professional does not mean that we have been colonized. No. If you think like that, then I sympathize with you. And a mzungu will not come all the way here to work for free. We must pay for his services. The price we pay. is very little compared to the knowledge we will learn. But you cannot learn while making noise. Even in class, noise makers are subjected to some punishment. We must hence subject the Tegi Obandas of this world to some rough type of punishment. Their education and purported knowledge seems to have evaporated the moment they left that last classroom. We must subject you to some iron curb of reasoning. Not the father is better than a teacher kind of. But real economics. Real growth. Reality. This is why I normally compliment our brothers and sisters from Central Province; if they see a good deal, they take it with both arms and their mouths shut.
