Good governance starts with trust. How can we trust Raila when all he does is use any little opportunity he gets to attack Kalonzo. How can we trust him when he is busy building ODM-Kenya into a one man show? How can we trust this man who has filled all top posts in ODM with his sympathisers? We in ODM should provide room for trust. We should not be like Kibaki who we supported trusting that he was to honor the MoU only to break it when he became president.

Raila shouldn't underestimate the elective power of the people of Eastern Province. He has chosen to work closely with Ruto while maligning Kalonzo. We know these tricks. We know that he is planning to cut a side deal with Ruto by promising him vice presidency. We also know that he is using Mudavadi. Of late Mudavadi has been pushing for consensus that is prefered by Raila as opposed to a more democratic delegates system. The secret list of officials leaked to the press also reveals a plot agains Kalonzo. We can see through all his tricks.

Raila has also launched a dirty campaign against Kalonzo through veteran journalist Sarah Elderkin. Sarah is know to have very close ties to the Odinga family. She has been digging up and fabricating dirty allegation against Kalonzo. Raila is using his links in the Standard to have these lebelious commentaries published.

Steadman polls show that Kalonzo is the best man for the seat. He has national appeal unlike Raila who has parochial support from Nyanza. We will not sit and watch Raila institute a coup against Kalonzo.
