Raila’s foxy tricks discovered

Congratulations Kalonzo, Ruto, Ojiambo and Mudavadi for refusing to attend the UK bonding meeting. Kalonzo, Uhuru, Ruto and Ojiambo have stopped Raila on his tracks. This trip was suspect from the beginning. Raila planned to use the trip to humiliate the other contenders. This humiliation was to start at the British Embassy by denying William Ruto and Musalia Mudavadi travel visas. In a well calculated move, Raila could have knocked out 2 contenders with the help of the British Embassy. The UK silent policy to deny Kenyan politicians implicated in corruption is lopsided. Both Raila was adversely mentioned in the Molasses Plant land allocation. He received the land as a gift from Moi five days after joining Kanu. But he was granted a British visa. Ruto was equally mentioned in a land scandal but he is being denied a UK visa. This is irregular.

Raila also planned to use the meeting to con other contender into declaring him tosha. The British MPs who were to attend were part of the grand plan of putting other contenders in a position where they will be forced to back Raila. We remember how Raila tricked Narc constituent members in 2002 at Uhuru Park. He used the venue to declare Kibaki Tosha after he had signed an MOU with Kibaki. Other candidates had no option but back Kibaki. Let Raila stay with those British MPs of his. The torch bearer should be determined in a free for all nomination and not a boardroom. Raila knows he doesn’t have popular support beyond his Luo tribe that is why he wants an undemocratic tosha nomination. We will not give in.

ODM is not a Raila party. It is for all Kenyan. We will resist any attempts to hijack it by people who want to impose themselves on Kenyans.
