Mining in Kenya Tegi Obanda wrote: Ndugu Wanyee Thank you for all this information. Perhaps Kenyans can realize why we are poor in our own rich country. We let other people come and take our minerals, land, water, wildlife, biological resources and now our youth being exported as runners, footballers, ayahs, nurses, doctors engineers, whatever, Only a tiny percentage of Kenyans or Africans have understood the main cause of poverty--this stupid way of throwing away our resources then we start crying like beggars. We give Dominion Farms our most important wetland to destroy then we start begging them to build schools for us.Why is this concept of resource plunder so difficult \to understand? If people who have degrees can't understand such a simple concept why are we wasting money in education at all? I suggest we shut down all educational institutions and turn them into warehouses for rice, where illiterate African workers can pack rice ready for export so that mzungu can reap millions.
