If there is one technology that most people if not all want to possess, then it must be a cell phone, and of course one with a good package of lots of minutes with as little expenses as possible.

As it is, not everyone can afford a cell phone and even with those who have them, they are subjected to lots of restrictions.

The beauty of having a cell phone is that you can call anyone at anytime. In other words, it makes communication much convenient.

But there is a problem. There are reports that many of those who have cell phones don't answer them in times of emergency. Spouses, parents, children,and friends are complaining that their calls are being ignored. But why will anyone decide not to answer? I wish I knew!

Just recently,a friend told me a very sad story. Two friends were moving from point A to B when they noticed an accident that involved their friend's wife. As good and caring friends, though poor, they tried to call their rich friend but in vain. They therefore decided to take their friend's wife to the hospital. After that they tried making more telephone calls but all in vain. They were not ready to give up. They drove all the way to his house. Once there,they requested the security guy to let them in but in vain.

As they were driving off,they told the security officer to let his boss know that his wife had been involved in an accident and that she had been admitted. That was the message they had been trying to pass.

It's reported that when the guy got the information he came out running as if he was on a marathon. He started chasing the car on foot. He put his cell phone to work immediately by trying to call his poor friends. But they had had enough. You can figure out the rest of the story.

So next time you are tempted to ignore Somebody's call, please remember this story. Will you?
