Re:Mass walkout Has anyone ever walked out of your life(friends, parents,or spouses,)at the time you really needed them and left you devasted and in a very arkward state of shock? Some years back, a lady nurse worked so hard to put her husband through his PHD program. On the day of graduation, having received his certificate with great enthusiasm, he walked to his wife and handed her what those who saw thought was his certificate as a sign of deep appreciation of her sacrifice. But alas, it was a cerfificate of divorce. The one who told me the story did not have all the details, but whatever they were, it was a cruel thank you. But today I want to write about a mass walkout, disaster at and around the sea of Galilee, if you wish. John Chapter six records one of the most sadest moments during Christ's earthly ministry. One can not read the chapter without becoming mad with the way the people spoke with the son of God. Due to their lack of understanding and comprehension, they took an ill informed decision. Note how John described the outcome" From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him." (John 6:66). Was Jesus affected by their decision? His question to the disciples tells it all "Then said Jesus unto the twelve, will ye also go away? (John 6:67). To those who have been forsaken, please know that there is one who will never leave you alone no matter what. He understands your pain for He has been there before. On a slightly different view, they ae many today who for various reasons have walked out of church and with time have come up with all kinds of excuse. To you my friend I wish to remind you that the genle Saviour is waiting for you to return home. Will you? Just a thought. Pr Birai-612-386-4608 Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
