[Jambo] Nyando Candidates panic as Raila's long time friend Eng. Jack Apollo Owuor declares his Canditure from his California - USA office.

The charismatic and an orator, Eng/Rev Jack Apollo Owuor, currently living between USA and Kenya, running chains of International business empire of Supper Markets and Real Estate Firms in L.A California-USA/Kenya, has declared his candidature for Nyando Constituency. Eng Owuor is the younger brother to the former MP of Nyando and a Kisumu based Lawyer/Businessman Mr James Miruka Owuor. Eng Owuor is close friend to Hon Raila Odinga and were among prominent luo Chemical Engineers who carried the first feasibility study of the Kisumu Molasses Plant to certify it's economical viability for revival against the wishes of the Kenyan government by then. In the early days of his youth, he went to Homabay High School and Nakuru High School, he later proceeded to USA, early 197O's for his University Study and since then have worked and runs family businesses in USA and Kenya.

During the unrest of the reintroduction of Multi-Party, he was instrumental in supporting the struggle and was among the diaspora collaborators who stood with the late Jaramogi and Raila in the days when being close to the opposition politics was literally lethal. Eng Owuor popularly known as Apollo constructed low incoming housing Scheme in Rabuor,Ahero, Awasi Market centres to assist the low income Nyando residence, trademarked "Los Angels Apartments". He is also a big time sugar cane farmer and a founder of an International Church Ministries, called "Miracle Victory Church" with it's International Headquarters in USA and Kenya, overseeing over 20 churches in Nyando alone he also supports over 120 orphans living with grandparents and widows.

His wife Mrs Mary Owuor founded Nyando Women Self Group which has empowered over 300 women in all the locations in Nyando, Owuor's Family are the sole sponsor of Okaja Primary & Secondary School in Tura- Sub-Clan in Nyando and has served as an executive board member of Onjiko Secondary School for decades. His record in helping the needy pupils and Nyando residdnce is unchallengeable. Nyando is cosmopolitan area with all the luos clans and other tribe living in harmony, Apollo father roots are traced to Kasipul Kabondo while his mother is from Kano-Kobura, the deciding factor clan in Nyando Politics. He is being seen as a compromise Candidates in Wawidhi and Kadibo, with block support from Tura, Kochogo and Kakola sub-clans, he highly rated as sober leader by Jo-Karateng' and the mixture of Kamagaga, Ogenya, Alego/Kanyakwar,Kajulu who are mainly immigrants living in Nyando Constituency and have express their support to him following utterances of Eng Nyamuga supporters that they are "OLUWO RERU OR JODAK " means aliens and have no right to lead.

Apollo ran in 1997 controversial NDP nomination and was never successful, after which he put his weight for Raila's Presidential compaign bid across the Country by then. The word circulating in Kenya is that Raila's think tank appeal for him to come back and join the Raila's Presidential Campaign team, alongside Nyando heavy weights Professionals/businessmen in diaspora and home, led by Dr William Oranga, USA, Michael Ogango, USA and Jacob Ogindo USA, Fanuel Owaga-EU, these diaspora team are set to support him, while his chief campaigners on the ground are Michael Sidignu in Awasi, Dick Oruko in Kadibo, Samuel Ogango Pedo-Kakola and Bonfax Denju in Kabonyo. Roseline Opiyo will led the women as Paul Adhembo take on the Youth.

Meanwhile, Eng Owuor dismissed Miguna Miguna as non-starter in Nyando with no development record in the constituency, " I will beat him in his backyard in Ombaka hands down, he should stop misusing Raila's name, we have supported the opposition for many years but we do not say, we give advantage not take advantage like opportunists such as Fred Outa, Eng T. Oyuke, Dr P. Omanga, Fred Waga and Paul Ogogo. He also claim that Eng Opon Nyamuga messed up his chances through misappropriate of CDF and CACC Funds, and has for the last 4 years never introduced a bill in Parliament, "he has fail the Nyando People, we elected him to initiate debates not only to form voting pattern block in Parliament" says Apollo. Eng Owuor declaration as disorganised many candidates and send them to drawing board, he may fetch a great number of votes in Tura, Kakola, Karateng', Kobura,Kabonyo and Awasi, he plans to launch his campaign officially after Raila's launched his, "I will give my best for "Wuod Jadung' to win the nomination of ODMK says Apollo".
