About RECESSPA

The Regional Centre for Stability, Security & Peace in Africa (RECESSPA) is an international not-for-profit organization dealing with issues of state stability, security and peace in the Great Lakes Region of Africa. It is registered both in Canada and Kenya. RECESSPA'S regional offices are located in Nairobi, Kenya, while its international offices are in Toronto. The Great Lakes countries covered are: Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Uganda, Djibouti, Somalia (North & South), Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and Democratic Repulic of Congo.

A Summary of RECESSPA'S Objectives

1. To mobilize and disburse funds and other resources for the promotion of the objects of the organization.

2. To conduct broad policy oriented research and analysis in the core areas and make these available for both stake-holders and interested parties.

3. To evaluate regional state / government capacity for project implementation.

4. To actively engage in proactive, creative and strategic interventions and conflict management in the region.

5. To operate a Resource Centre for Stability, Security and Peace.
