[Jambo] As we Live, Let us be Thankful

*Friends, *
*I have not written much in this forum of late but the Virginia Tech massacre has prompted me to write because as we continue living in this challenging world, none of us can possibly begin to comprehend the cataclysmic pain and devastation, both physical and spiritual, that has occurred over the past few years. With millions of people killed in wars, dead from AIDS, natural calamities, terrorist attacks etc., our hearts and minds are called to reflect on the truly meaningful things in our lives and lead us to a place of grace and thankfulness that we have an opportunity to continue living with our loved ones intact and safe. No single act of remembrance or expression of gratitude seems more fitting to memorialize those who were lost than to commit ourselves to "living" our lives more "presently", more "humbly", more "thankfully" and more "gracefully".

I would like to suggest that a "living memorial" be undertaken by each and every one of us who has our arms...our legs...a roof over our heads...clean water...and our loved ones nearby us. As we live our everyday life, may we "Let Go" of the things that have held us back...release those thoughts which initiate anger rather than love...surrender the "small stuff" that traps us in a web that can lead to no good outcome...forgive those who have caused us pain or embarrassment...remember with joy all the blessings we have received over the past months... and try not to focus on that which we didn't receive (we didn't need it anyways or it would have been granted to us)... Open our hearts and our minds to receive only that which is for our greatest and highest good...and be ready to receive it in whatever form it comes...breathe in truth...and light...and the light of truth...and commit ourselves to leaving every person, place and living thing better for our having been there. *

*May each one of us find the path of truth in God and stay firmly planted on it. May we all transcend the need to pound our egos on others, living in harmony and accepting with embrace those whom we differ. God Bless you All always.

Best Regards,*
