Re: What are the best practices for the prevention of Malaria.

I am involved with a funding proposal for the prevention of Malaria in Kenya. I am looking for information on some of the approaches that are currently in practice. I would appreciate very much if the ladies and gentlemen of this forum can help answer these questions for me.

1. What type of Education do the communities receive on Malaria?
2. Do they have teachers who come to the communities every month or is it taught through schools?
3. How does the information reach the entire community?
4. Have the communities received mosquito nets before and from whom?
5. What do you think if there was a Malaria educator assigned to each area to constantly work with the communities providing all the information they need?

Remember, Malaria can be prevented so we are trying to figure out the best approach.

Thanks

Irene.
