No electricity for Rongo clinic

My classmate and his older brother who are Kenyans from Western Kenya, (Rongo) about 1.5 hrs from Kisumu have opened a free clinic to serve the village where they grew up. They have successfully partenered with Dartmouth and Vanderbilt students and faculty and have raised funds to run and furnish the clinic.

The only problem now is that they have no electricity at the clinic to pump clean water and to run any needed appliances. The grid was supposed to be moved close to the clinic site and a local school, but some local politician decided to divert it and move it closer to his house.

A local (Nashville) based reporter has made a documentary about the clinic and we are trying to air it on a local station so that hopefully somebody will see it and help the process of moving the grid along.

So if anybody knows anyone who works for any of the Kenyan news stations please let me know.
