Re: [Jambo] THE PEOPLE'S CONSTITUTION REVIEW PROCESS We are toying with a very dangerous idea. By letting busy bodies pretend that they can also run a paralel process, we are effectively abdicating work for our elected representetives in parliament. The governemnt as established has three arms; The Executive, The Legislature, and The Judiciary. I have never heard of The Civil Society. But what has been gaining root in the recent past is like toying with fire; it blossoms to consume you later. As history would vindicate my fears, the people propelling the civil society have no interest of this country at heart. Take the case of Kibutha Kibwana. The man used to talk all the english he knows, pretending to be fighting for the common man. But in essence, he was just making a name for himself so that he could be electable. Immediately he was elected, and made a cabinet minister, it is like he forgot all aspects of good governace. He forgot that Kenyans do not tolerate corruption and tribalism. What I am saying here, and this I believe in, the civil society have no mandate to talk on behalf of Kenyans on anything. They cannot even pretend to convene a meeting on behalf of Kenyans. These are just busy bodies who serve alien interest. And Kenyans must take note. We are toying with fire which will consume us all.
