Re: [jokanyanam] Re: [KOL] Steadman Polls:Kibaki surpasses the 50% mark as Raila trounces Kalonzo Can any Steadman rep. answer the following questions before many of us can give any wieght to their poll findings. Further more the writer's tone sounds biased!. Here are my questions: 1. Who paid for the poll? 2. Can we see the questionnaire? 3. How were those people chosen? and how did you implement the sample? 4. What area (town, province, or region) or what group (teachers, lawyers, farmers, voters, etc.) were these people chosen from? 5. What % were Rural and Urban? 6. What are the demographics of the people surveyed? Tribe, Education level etc 7. Are the results based on the answers of all the people interviewed? 8. Who should have been interviewed and was not? Or do response rates matter in your survey? 9. When was the poll done? 10. How were the interviews conducted? 11. What about polls on the phone? 12. What is the sampling error for the poll results? 13. What other kinds of factors may have skewed your poll results? e.g things going on in Kenya immediately before or during the survey 14. What questions were asked? 15. In what order were the questions asked? 16. What about "push polls?" i.e. respondent hears and understands the accusation in the question 17. Do other polls that have been done on this topic have results? If they are different, why are they different? 18. How the people did polled vote in the last election? 19. Was there any weighting done in your survey data analysis? 20. Can the poll results be divvied up by Province? I need to see something more statistically convincing. The article's tone combined with the poll results seems to be staged for unsuspecting readers. There seems to be a string connecting this polls results with the recent Kimunya's presentaion (in USA) that was loaded with sweet but with un-verifiable facts about the progress this present gov. has done in Kenya. Kindly respond to each question. Thanks Cleo Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
