Hon. Raila vs Hon Tuju response to Onyango Okelo on gorailadotcom blog spot While we all have divergent views on any issue(s) arising – from political to economical, rest your case assured that being an ardent supporter of Raila does not and will not mean that I stand to gain anything from him should he win or not win. This is typical of a Luo thinking that you only support while expecting some returns. My friend at my age in time with my status quo, I do not live to be helped in anyway by anybody anywhere! This Jaluo thinking of support with benefits is why we are lagging behind economically and all the blames go to Raila and the Odinga family. The point of the matter is, while I have been reading much about Raila and the Odinga factor marginalizing the Luo's, I strongly believe that whoever believes in the said is the most idiotic Luo person. First and foremost, Raila is not the MP for Luo's, ask each and every MP in Luo Nyanza what they have done to their electorate. Raila HAS NEVER BEEN AN MP in any constituency in Nyanza. Why compare him to Hon, Raff Tuju? 2. People have also been saying that Raila imposes MP's on them. My friend, Raila has only 1 (one) vote like any other Kenyan! And he does not vote for anybody apart from himself in Lang'ata constituency. This is why I said that whoever has been made to believe or believes that Raila and the Odinga family have been marginalizing Luo should be called an Idiot. If the electoral votes for an MP because Raila had endorsed that MP, then they are idiots. Raila is a human being just like any of us. He has preferences just like any of us. His preference might be wrong or right - BUT it is the voters that decide what is wrong/right for them. Raila is championing changes for Kenyans - not Luos only. Tuju is and should be busy legislating and developing Rarieda as an MP for Rarieda. There is no comparison at all between Raila and Tuju in this case. The Bigger picture of this argument is "I support Raila because he has always been fighting for these changes in our constitution." Everybody might be a stakeholder in this I agree but do you realize that his brief co-operation with Moi led to the formation of the Bomas conference? I can brief you later on his score card on that later if need be! My friends, where we are right now politically, it is only change on constitution that will help us as Kenyans to develop in an entirety. Mobile clinics, electricity are all developments, but for political gains, if Tuju would want to be credited as a credible development minded strong Luo man without any political motives, then tell me what he has done to Luos outside of Rarieda. Then we will be on the same page to compare Hon Raila to Hon. Raila.
