Re: Helping or spoiling? There is no question that life back home is very tough. Pictures, stories, and what have you tell it all. Hats off to all those who have worked hard over the years to support family members, relatives, and friends. Like many of you, I started supporting my family members, relatives and friends in 1978, when I started working as a clerical officer at the Ministry of Health, Headquarters-Afya House. Since then, I have supported non-stop. But like many of you, one thing continue to bother me-The demands for the American dollar come in large numbers every single day. As soon as you send money, another request is on the way. Many have stopped long time ago from assisting. Others are at the very edge of saying no. But others continue to work hard and support. My question is this: Where does one stop? Are we really helping our relatives or we are spoiling them? Just a thought.
