THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THOMAS JOSEPH MBOYA (T. J)

Kenyans born in 1969 and after hardly know who Thomas Joseph Mboya was. He was known in other circles as T. J or Tom Mboya.

What was his vision and mission in the Kenya nationhood?
Professor E. S Atieno Odhiambo a renowned Kenyan scholar based in USA will give a key note address on Tom Mboya.

Professor Atieno Odhiambo is from history department Rice University Houston - Texas USA.

The inaugural Tom Mboya public lecture will be held in Kisumu City on the 2nd June 2007 at 3.oopm at Kisumu Young Men Christian Association Hall. The lecture will give a deeper insight into who Tom Mboya the man and the politician was.

We hope that the lecture and the discussions will generate a lot of interest amongst the scholars and the public.

The Misango Arts Ensemble will host the inaugural Tom Mboya lecture. The organization will also hold series of public lectures focusing on various issues particularly on Kenya leadership; past and present - which way forward?

We would like to reach students in schools, colleges and universities to attend.

The Misango Arts Ensemble will curtain raise the Tom Mboya lecture in poetry presentation.
