diaspora mobilization: Where are the so called luo leaders

Don’t want to blame anyone for anything. Each one of us has successes and failures. Each one of us has families to support and others who drag us down. No human is an island neither is one a mountain but where the Luo belong is where he does. Right under the foot. Right under the foot, I hate to say because I am one, and I dare you if you said that that is where I belong on my face you know what you get. A smack, then I call my lawyer before you reach yours.

Luo my people Luo. How long will it take you to know that your grief is not the government's? How long will it take you to know that when you have the brain you become too much for the corridor of power? Luo, my people Luo, how long will it take you to know that power is not in how loud you are, or how many people you can convince you are right.

For the first and I hope the last time, William Oduor spoke his mind on jaluo dot com and I quote ''Oganda ma ok kuoth kamoro achiel ok nyal loso gimoro'' . I know some people will murder me for this writing. But I am not blaming any body. The aim of my writing here is that if any Luo worth his salt see this, then they should forget kitchen politics and get to the economic development of Luo land. The Luo, the majority of Kenyan PhDs and MDs ready to fight for their rights. In words though. Never put their money where their mouth is. How will they achieve anything? The luo are a typical example of where the smart let themselves be ruled by the delinquents. The Luo, my heart cry for the Luo.

The Luo, at the moment when your leaders should mobilize your intellect and the economics in the Diaspora, they are busy fighting about who is the supporter of Tuju and who is for Odinga. The Luo, who will care about your children if you don’t?

The Luo, you will forever be a servant and yet you should be a king. You, my friend you are the Luo. You the Luo leader in whatever capacity must stop being myopic. Can I be allowed to challenge my own, and is it wrong to do so when my heart is bleeding, or if I strongly believe this will wake up the hungry lion to go and hunt?

Simple rhetoric, so you think? I cannot answer that question on your behalf. It is not a writing contest.

My brothers could not afford to go to high school after obtaining straight As. I mean A in English, A in Math and A in General Paper. Some could have been a Bill Gate somewhere. There is no politics or fun in this. This is not a joke .

Since when did the Luo become the lowest performing in the whole country? Since when did the Luo become the poorest district? Since when did the Luo start begging for handouts? Where is the pride of the luo?

Don’t tell me of that government responsibility. shhhhh. Don’t tell me of that Odinga family staff. The Odinga's cannot do everything for all the luos. They have tried their best. Who has joined them. The Luo oh! The Luo. When did you become so mean? So mean that you forgot that someone held your arms to be somebody?

Everywhere I go I meet Dr. Otieno, Onyango, Okeyo, Odongi, Ogutu, Oyugi, Ochiel, Owino. From general perception the doctorates should be commensurate with knowledge. The Luo, where do you use this knowledge?

It is time for your leaders to bring these knowledge in the Diaspora together and develop Luo nation and if they don’t make a very good choice and if you don’t make that choice then shut up.

Don’t ever talk about the government because it will forever be against you as it has always been. It is time you use your God given knowledge.

Make your leaders be accountable. Luo leaders, as far as Diaspora is concerned, we are not a threat. We want to work with you all. Come on board. Own up or shut up. Come on and be a part of the process. Let no Luo child be a beggar no more.
