The Luo Factor Wuon Alila, The issue here is not Raila. Let me try another analogy in an attempt to hopefully simplify this discourse. In a conventional soccer game, you have two ways to execute a deffence: You either meet them as they come and hopefully thwart the onslaught or you set an off-side trap and leave them at the mercy of the referee. I'm talking strategy here, not unnecesary retoric. Raila has perfected the latter to his great benefit in Kenya's political landscape. My frusration is compounded by tha fact that it takes painstaking effort to duplicate this simple strategy among his own core supporters. Now, you claim to know the Raila that I'm supposedly not familiar with; which one is this cause the one I know is very metamophic. He knows when to fold and when to hold. If you keenly follow the Agwambo I know, You'll soon realise that his political strategies have always hinged on alliances simply because he has always read a step ahead of most of us. These alliaces are very delicately built and therefore you gotta tread a very thin line in order to keep them holding. This is where we fail miserably as the Luo community. Simply put, STOP PLAYING WITH ALL YOUR CARDS ON THE TABLE. Bill Ouko Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
