YOUTHFUL RAILA ODINGA POLITICAL ALLY TO BATTLE OJODE

Political temperatures are currently heightening in Ndhiwa Constituency following fresh revelations that a renown Hotelier cum Marine technical expert Ted Odero is to take head on the incumbent Ndhiwa Mp Joshua Orwa Ojode in the forth coming polls slated late this year.

Odero aged 35 and married with two children disclosed his political intentions a fortnight ago due to what he attributed to under representation and pressure from the enraged voters.

The youthful shrewd manager was once with the former prestigious Royal Hotel (now Kisumu Hotel) as the manager. During the three years at the helm, Odero literally resuscitated the outfit which had been relegated and condemned into obscurity by the former proprietors.

His sterling business acumen didn't stop there, courtesy of his rapport with the high echelons of Maseno University, he sold them the idea that his boss the then director of the Royale Hotel wanted to shift his business interests abroad and it was therefore imperative that they contemplate the takeover bid, of which they obliged.

Takeover bid became a reality culminating to massive refurbishment to the disbelief of leading and rival Hoteliers in the fraternity.

After a chequered career in the Hotel industry, Odero who is reputed for his gift of the gab (orator) plunged into marine consultancy, a move he attributes to the late German born Eng. Erwins Clause Gaujte together with his wife Bridgit Clause whose roots hails from Belgium.

The couples were to later prevail upon Odero to inject his input further into their business as the general manager of which he obliged.

The duo are the proud owners of the multi million Kamanga ferry and Mbita ferry LTD plying fresh Lake Victoria waters and catering for over 400 workers as its employees.

Back to the turbulent deep waters of political arena, Odero hails from the populous Kabwoch clan an ingredient he’s clinging on to unseat combative Joshua Orwa Ojode in what many keen political pundits have described as a memorable battle of the century.

Veteran Ojode will rely on his vast political experience and on the other divide; Odero will depend on his witty, valour and charisma to bag the seat.

For starters, Odero, pragmatic Marine Stoppes Country Director Cyprian Otieno Awiti, Kisumu Business Magnet Ochieng Daima and his Mombasa based counterpart Polycap Ocholla are prevalently loyal personalities shepherding Raila Odinga Presidential campaign quest in Luo land and Diaspora.
