Indeed you have paused questions of significant interest. Cetainly, one of the most probable solution to this dilemma and time-bomb is the introduction of Majimbo or federal system of governance in Kenya. Federal system will allow regions self-determination and budgetary control with exception of of probably Foreign Affair and Defense. The system will in essence create societal harmony for posterity and induce local and regional development apart from equitable distribution and sharing of resouces. This system will serve our country better if the elites -political and economic class, the intellectuals and all Kenyans show good-will, trust in their ability to chart the destiny of their country and be aboveboard on issues that have the potential of destroying us as a people. We understand ODM-K is embracing this idea of Federalism, our collective role for now, would be to engage with ODM-K with a view of giving an input.

I guess our role in the long-term, would be to continue engaging with the political class so that they embrace these ideas. We can do this effectively when we have an outfit which acts as our vehicle. The vehicle will provide us with certain powers to engage, influence, scruitise and persuade the political class and any other investor to include in their policy documents/manifestos issues such the the envoironment, good governance, sharing of nation resouces etc.
