Re: Nothing works in Kenya, despite all the denials - CHECK OUT From: Lameck.dgs Fellow Kenyans, I see that Odhiambo is under fire from those in defence of the government and yet they claim not to know who the government is. I will put is in simply terms. Do not compare Kenya with Somalia that has run without a government for more that 15 years. Compare us with Malaysia and Thailand who got independce at the some time span with us. Mosaisi, when you defend the "government", then who are you defending if you don't know that the responsibility rests with the president? He appoints the ministers and the senior government officials, who are in charge of overseeing the implementation of governmental agenda. If that fails, he should fire his officials and replace them with better competent Kenyans, and his failure to do that puts the blame on him squarely. If corruption thrives in Kenya and the president, with all the powers vested in him by Kenyans, does nothing about it, he is guilty of both corruption and failure to prevent it. On the same note, when his appointees work well and results can be seen, he gets the credit for the job well done. This is simple explanation that all should be able to see, and failure to see it is a demonstration of what bias "lenses" of nepotism and tribalism can do to even an otherwise level headed citizen. Even the cases mentioned of Gumo and Kosgey, should be addressed by the government of the day. If the government legal advice is convinced that some crime has been committed, they should prosecute. Failure to do so is failure to govern according to the mandate given by the people, and it is certainly not an excuse to misrule. Have a realistic evening!
