Re: Nothing works in Kenya, despite all the denials Matunda, That's another stupendous response am seeing in a rather stupid debate. You are right to say bigger roads never eased traffic jams. Ask California. Kenya should now look at subway transportation and railway transportation. And Kenyans need to get over themselves ati a better life is where you can drive a car anywhere anytime you want in the time frame you want. That's unrealistic and does damage to our environment. As a matter of fact, I hope Kenyans never become rich enough for everyone to buy a car(btw, funny how people complain about rising poverty, kwani the roads are getting jammed by cars driving themselves? we get jams because more and more people are getting enough money to buy and fuel cars) because it will destroy the socio-environmental fabric of the country. Americans are too anti-social because everyone is too self reliant. Get in the matatus, chat with your fellow citizens and be happy. Millions of other people in developed cities do it. If only our whining was based on realistic expectations. Odhiambo is wondering what happened to affordable education but he doesnt remember the money for education was spent on bribing Mps to cooperate (hello ndp / kanu cooperation?). he fails to note Mudavadi spent the education money on bribing politicians(hello goldenberg?). he fails to note Kosgey spent the education money on his own business(hello NSF?). And so on and so forth. What a partisan this man is. Mr. Matagaro. Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
