Food for Thought to Kenyan Electorate Dear all, Some quotes from President Kibaki Inauguration Speech: Can somebody craft these Accountability benchmarks for Kibaki? 1. "Our task will be to advance Kenya's interests and ensure they are well served." 2. "Our task will be to advance Kenya's interests and ensure they are well served." 3. "I promise not to let you down," he told the crowd. "I will be your servant in all humility and gratitude." 4. He did not mince his words when he referred to years of "misrule and ineptitude" by his predecessor Daniel arap Moi. "Corruption will now cease to be a way of life in Kenya". 5. "I call upon all those members of my government and public officers accustomed to corrupt practices to know and clearly understand that there will be no sacred cow under my government." Unfortunately, while addressing Kipkelion residents where he rewarded them with a new district, he told Kenyans that " if you do not see your neighbour just now we have jailed for not paying tax" The question is simple: why would Kibaki threaten electorate with jail while he has profusely refused to account to Kenyan electorate who are the owners of Anglo Leasing ? Goldenberg? Many Parastatals finance theft? Land grabbing are ? What does his aloofness and contemptuousness supposed to mean to electorate? He is busy recruiting, regrouping and rehabiliting what KENYANS rejected, KANU. This single issue is enough to send Kibaki home! PARTING QUESTION: Why should Kibaki threaten Kenyans with jail for not paying taxes, while he says nothing about those stealing the taxes he collects and mortgaging our dear country?
