Re: KENYA DEVELOPMENT FUND COOPERATION PRESS RELEASE Doc, On 2nd May 2007, I hosted 346 women leaders at Bethel Baptist Church within Komarock, and my main aim was to create an enabling environment for our women colleagues to be self sufficient with their small and medium enterprises. In setting Komarock Community Development Network, we are focused on poverty eradication through active participation. Our members, though the self help initiative, can support their businesess in a self sustaining manner. The response was instant and overwhelming. We must now move on and make this a reality. I am not just looking at being in politics as a means by itself. I am looking at how our people can be enabled to lead better lives. How we can support the women, who are normally the bed rock of the family, to put bread on the table with ease. We are creating an enabling environment through which, our small scale business colleagues can come together and better their lives. We have alot in store, and through active participation and support, we are determined to achieve a lot. Time for rhetorics, in our view is gone. We must now act, however small our role is, but we are on motion and moving forward. I support this initiative, and I want to play some active roll for Kenya Development Fund Cooperation in Kenya. For those who might also want to invest in our programme, we can share with you more of our vission. Odhiambo T Oketch Komarock Nairobi Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
