Re: : We need to support Hon Raila--How about supporting the people of Kenya? Tegi, Yours is a populist reaction. I have been talking about the expectations of Kenyans when we all voted for President Kibaki. I have always reduced those expectations to three cardinal issues; tribalism, corruption and a new constitution. My take has been always very simple; we gave someone the mandate, and he has failed the test. So why not ask him. Why ask the opposition? You are good at skirting the issues and we normally part ways at that point. And to remain relevant, you want to antagonize my reasoning with the many Kenyans who are doing a wonderful job from the Diaspora, in support of our campaigns. Many Kenyans in the Diaspora, unlike you, know where the problem is. They know that it is Kibaki who has failed. And again they know that they can never blame ODM for Kibakis failures. So do not go hysterical craving for support. You will not get it. Not from the good Kenyans living abroad. I was specific in my reference to you. Tegi blames the opposition for Kibakis failures! Thats what I am concerned with, and thats why I have concluded that yours is personal. If you know the problem, then separating the problem from rational thinking must be some very big problem for you. Because if you know why we do not have a new constitution up to now, and you still blame the opposition for that, then, things might have become elephant for you. And that pretty normal. I must hence keep telling you, the person Kenyans gave the mandate to give us a new constitution within 100 days was one Emilio Mwai Kibaki. Fullstop. The person Kenyans gave the job to ensure Kenya became non tribal was one Emilio Mwai Kibaki. Do not skirt the issues when Kibaki turns tribal and appoints only a select group of Kikuyus into all senior positions. Evens most Kikuyus do not like this. Tegi, we all gave Kibaki the mandate to kill corruption. But what happened? Anglo Leasing things were orchestrated from State House. Who resides there? I bet the opposition, in your mind. You can talk all the jargon you want, but they will not detract Kenyans from the truth. And I am surprised that you get support from Nyadida Yimbo, an old man that I normally respect. But if the two of you think that opposition is the problem, then in my matrix, I will start viewing all of you as part of what we must solve. Kenyans must not loose focus. We must trail our eyes firmly on the three problems; tribalism, corruption and the quest for a new constitution. And in so doing, we must all know that we gave Kibaki the job, and he has failed to perform. Whenever he performed, like in turning the economy around, it was only his economy and that of his personal friends. Kenyans are still saddled with high taxation, high prices for essential commodities, high fuel and parafin prices against all logic. But Tegi cannot know this because he stays in Ottawa, and gets his reliable weekly briefings from one Alfred Mutua, Kibakis PR man. I will defend all your rights to be convinced by Mutua's briefings, because you deserve joining Mutua in blaming the opposition. The day of reckoning is nigh, and Kenyans must wake up on that day in December, to help me vote for Hon Raila Odinga, a man I believe can have the job done.
